More Minimal Then the MadAss?

Postby MilwaukeeMadass » 18 Mar 2010 08:35

And you thought the MadAss was a minimalist design? How about this?

It sports a 2-cycle motor able to get you moving along at about 30 mph. Not bad. The price tag on that one is $500.

The clubman bars on this one are great.

The guy that puts these things together is located in a suburb of Milwaukee and has some more styles that are pretty cool or you can buy the motor kit yourself. It's tempting. :ugeek:

I see a few of these get around in my suburb in OZ, can buy the full bike for around 700 ish, or the kits for 350ish. They look alot less cooler than the ones you posted there Ray. The cops usually frown on these though as theyre not ADR approved so can not be registered etc. so you see alot of guys still pedalling when they are giving it the ducks nuts to make it look normal.

Function vs form is always a balance,
these are still push bikes with mechanical assistance

the MA breaks the barrier between scooter and real motorcycle

my two cents worth

I used to think these kits were neat... then a frumpy old lady on a busted up mountain bike passed me...

But if I saw one of these babies on the road I might ask where they bought it!

if the kits were cheaper like 75$ ,i would make a nice project, get a old bike, and make her look nice, ride it for a bit(without anyone seeing me)and then sell it

hehehe...Yup looks like my next project. A guy showed up at our ride last Sunday with a remanufactured Whizzer. WOW! What a nice machine that was.

Looks like I might just have to get me a project started.
