Sylvia, my 2010 graphite 125

Postby goplaycheckers » 11 Jun 2012 15:49

It occurred to me today that my bike (which I am calling "Sylvia") still doesn't have its own thread. This is an attempt to remedy that. There is an ongoing list of mods in post #2.

(I know a lot of these pictures look the same...I need to dig out some different ones from another camera card.)

Here's the obligatory "just home from the dealer" photo (08.20.2010)

Cargo rack, grips, mirror risers, and tune-up kit installed (11.06.2010)

Black front fender, air horn, sprockets, and GIVI box (06.06.2011)

Is that an angled or straight Uni filter on there?

Thanks! I'm itching to do more but money is tight at the moment. I've got a request in to FastSigns for the clutch cover decal...still waiting to hear back from them on a quote. Maybe I'll chop and paint my fenders this month too. I think I will have time.

It's angled. Same one that comes with the tune-up kit from Moto-Scoot. I have absolutely no clue what size it is and the rubber flange on mine is all rotted out because I accidentally overtightened it. If you pick one up, just tighten it down enough to where it's not gonna come off on its own, don't go too tight. If you need sizing info, I'm sure a quick call to Andy at Moto-Scoot should get you squared away.

Nice work. I was wondering how you like the 15/39 sprockets. Did you get the results you were looking for?

Sorry, just saw your message. The sprockets were definitely an improvement over stock. Better acceleration and pick-up. My top speed hasn't really improved as much as I'd hoped, but overall I'm happy with the gearing. I intend to upgrade to a 142cc big bore kit eventually which (based on what I've read around here) should be in the sweet spot for this particular gearing.
