Hello everybody!

I bought my 2006 MadAss 50 last summer, it was a leftover from my local scooter shop when they were thinking of being a MA retailer. In the end they decided not to carry it, and they sold off their evaluation bikes. Most of these bikes had been modified with engine kits, but the last bike was left untouched, and more or less forgotten.

Jump ahead three years, to the summer of 2009. The little MA had languished, it's kickstart stiff from lack of use, it's seat torn. The scooter store decides it's time to clear out all their old stock, and have a good old fashion clearance sale!

First things first, they send the sea to get reupholstered. So when I see the bike for the first time, it's seat is missing! That aside, the bike was completely stock, with only 35Km (22Miles)on the odometer. the best part was, the bike's price was lowered down to $1900.00 CDN ($1851.00 USD),and that included the new seat (which had some extra padding added to it)

I haven't started wrenching on it yet, I have to sell my Big Ruckus first. Then, I plan on picking up the Fasttrails Yx 160 engine, as well as a big bore exhaust. I definitely need new side mirrors, I was thinking about getting a set of cafe racer bar end mirrors.

Here's a pic of my MA, completely stock (except for the extra padding in the seat), and exactly what I wanted, a bike with endless potential!

Welcome to the Forum John.

I just ordered some clubman bars and am going to see what I think of them. I've been modding the heck out out of my bike and right now the visually least stunning areas are the handlebars and the taillight/license plate. I like how the clubman's look on this fella's bike though:

I don't know where this fella got this particular bar at, but with his the angle of the "U" in the center and the angles of the two "V"s are on the same plane. I looked around for a while and thought I found a bar like this, but it turned out it was like most clubman bars where these two angles are on different planes so that if I installed the pair I got with the "U" at the same angle as those on this guy's bike, my handlebars would be angled down considerably. Fortunately I am only out $30 (I never return anything), and who knows, maybe one of these days I'll give them a try anyway.
